Temporary Warning

Temporary Warning Products are to comply to the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management.
All signs must comply with the Transit New Zealand / LTSA Manual of Traffic Signs and Markings Parts 1 & 2, NZS 5414 and AS/NZS 1906.1:1993.
Because of this, there are industry standards where all sign faces must have retro-reflective material backgrounds, which are applied to substrate approved by the manufacturer and application methods must comply with the manufacturer's recommendations.
The Minimum standards for signage is split by two class Levels which are Level 1 Roads or Level 2/3 Roads.
Level 1 Roads
All primary signage MUST conform to the minimum size, which is 750 x 750mm
Level 2/3 Roads
All primary signage MUST conform to the (diamond shape) being retro-reflective fluorescent Orange with a minimum size, of 850 x 850mm and it MUST be superimposed on a White 1200 x 1200mm (Square shaped) background.
