RTL Category Image Regulatory Signs have legal significance and must be readily distinguishable from all other signs. It is illegal for a motorist to ignore regulatory signs.

There are two types of regulatory signs; Propitiatory - the motorist must not do something; and Mandatory - the motorist must do what the sign says.
