This sign can only be used after formal authorisation by the controlling authority is given to advise that the road is closed to ordinary vehicular traffic whilst road works or other legitimate activities are being carried out.

This sign must be used in conjunction with Road Works signs and detour direction signs to indicate the shortest alternative route with an adequate width and no height restrictions.

This sign can be used on either Level 1 Roads or Level 2/3 Roads sign size depicts the Level it should be used on.
