AW VMS - Advanced Warning Variable Message Sign

The AWVMS, as defined by NZTA is actually made from 4 separate components. These are Xenon warning lights, Advance Warning VMS, VMS Sign (made up of a graphics area and text area) and the base panel.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Xenon Lights
RTL Xenon lights feature a 340mm diameter across the light emitting surface. They are manufactured in Europe and are fully compliant with European standard EN12352:2006.

Advance Warning VMS
Displays existing approved temporary warning signs as contained within Section B of CoPTTM with amber LED’s on a black background.

Variable Message Sign
A complete unit made up of two sections - a graphics area and a text area. The graphics area displays existing approved temporary direction and protection signs with amber LED’s on a black background. The text area displays text in a static font.

Retro-reflective Panel
The 300mm high, retro-reflective red/ white base panel is sold separately and made to order depending on whether the AWVMS is mounted on a utility vehicle or a trailer.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Automatic/ Manual Light Dimming
The brightness of the LED’s can be automatically or manually adjusted to improve the legibility of the message in various light conditions for oncoming traffic.

Wifi Wireless Controller
Control the functions of the AWVMS from the cab of the host/towing vehicle, keeping operators safe from passing traffic.

Ease of Use
The AWVMS is preloaded with the approved symbols. Onsite programming can be done by scrolling through the preloaded symbols and then loaded onto the AWVMS at the touch of a button.

Mounting Options
Sign Panels complete with rear support frame or complete ute/ trailer lifting system.
